Purpose:
The purpose of the Lions Baseball Club is to create continuity within our baseball program while playing a competitive schedule against challenging opponents. The focus will be placed on improving fundamentally, creating an environment to learn, and having a consistent opportunity to grow through regular practice time and game/tournaments.
The club will not take the place of the local recreational league.
Specifics:
-
The try-out process will begin in Fall 2017 for the 2018 season - players should plan to attend at least one of the two initial work-outs! If you are unable to attend, please notify the coaches as soon as possible.
-
The club will work directly with the high school and middle school staffs.
-
Practice planning will be structured after the high school practices.
-
The club will focus their game schedule mostly in June and July; the teams will not necessarily play every weekend (this will vary with each team and be at the coaches' discretion).
-
Players in the club will have the opportunity to work-out throughout the fall and winter months.
-
Players will be expected to play in the local recreational league unless approved by Coach Harpring.
